Hello CHD subscribers and website viewers. Today we are going to be discussing the QORTector Gen3 B Series devices.

These devices will be the ‘lowest end’ of the Gen3 series, but will still be VERY powerful. There will be a limitation on the internal storage capability of the devices, so if you would like to have larger storage options available, an external SSD would be recommended.

In regard to the hardware, the Gen3 devices will all use the same CPU, which is an 8-core CPU more than capable of running anything you throw at it, including open source AI models like demonstrated on the Gen3 X Series.

The Gen3 B Series devices come with a single wireless ‘wifi’ connection, and single LAN connection, in comparison to the dual-wireless dual-LAN configuration of the X series devices.

The B Series will also come with either 128 or 256GB internal (eMMC) storage only, which means they will need an external SSD for additional storage, connected to the USB. If you wish to add additional storage to the devices.

They will come with either 8 or 16GB of RAM, whereas the X series can come with up to 32GB of RAM.

The B series, however, WILL be a lot less expensive than the X series, and will therefore be more suitable for those seeking a lower-priced option, or simply needing a low-powered node machine.

At this point, it seems as though the base price for the Gen3 B Series device will start at around $625 dollars. Making it a very feasible option for many users. Various additional components will be available as ‘add-ons’ just like the X series.

Included hardware will be JUST the NODE device itself. Additional add-ons for Keyboard, Mouse, and Monitor will be available immediately.

These devices as the X Series devices, will be on a ‘built to order’ basis, at least initially. Which means it will take an additional 1-4 days for the parts to be ordered by CHD, and arrive, prior to the build-and-ship to the end user. This is being done to allow more flexibility and customization, and to ensure that every order is the most updated version of the hardware possible from the manufacturer.
